2022 Featured Artist: Heather Miles

Building off of our 2022 theme, the Art of Community, the Edina Art Fair has selected H. Ward Miles of Indianapolis, IN as this year’s featured artist.

Miles’ contemporary painting, “Here’s Hoping,” will be featured on all promotional materials for the Edina Art Fair and on display at her booth. Her artistic mission in her words, “is an attempt to take a world that can be so negative and find the light, bright beauty of our fragile existence.”

“’Here’s Hoping’ captures the sentiment that many have after two years of disconnection,” said Max Musicant, Director of the 50th & France Business and Professional Association. “Heather’s work stands out for how she brings to life feelings of joy, new beginnings and a hopeful future. Being together once again for this iconic event is definitely a hope-filled new start.”

2022 Emerging Artists

For the first time, the Edina Art Fair will be spotlighting three local Emerging Artists who have been making strides and breaking barriers with their work. These artists include:

Inkpa Mani (painting, sculpting, image making, booth 254) celebrates the histories, languages, and vibrant cultures of Indigenous and Dakhóta people

Samuel Fleming (visual art, booth 156) primarily works with ink on paper showcasing expressive forms with multiple layers of complex, contemporary imagery

Teeko Yang (jewelry, booth 158) has a mission to help support a positive community that celebrates authenticity, femininity and diversity.

Emerging Artists will be an annual part of the Edina Art Fair moving forward, intended to celebrate and uplift up-and-coming Minnesotan artistic talent who provide a diversity of perspectives, backgrounds and ideas.
